  • Chia seeds were cultivated by the aztecs
  • They absorb around 12 times their size in liquid, then become some sort of gel consistency, which is great for puddings or giving texture to drinks and will most likely help you feel fuller for longer. 
  • You can sprinkle chia on top of whatever you feel like, just for the health benefits.
  • In addition of being good for you, Chia is also usually used for Diabetes, High blood pressures and reducing the risk of Heart diseases. 
  • Chia contains a huge amount of Omega-3 fatty acids and dietary fibre.
  • Fatty acids as known to improve Brain function.
  • Toddlers shouldn't have more than a teaspoon of seeds a day, since their stomach is much smaller than an adult one and the seeds expand. 
  • If you soak them in something like fruit juice, almond milk, coconut milk, you will have an amazing pudding / dessert. 
  • They have anti-inflamatory properties.
  • Like everything in life, consume in moderation.
